- This role has a base salary ability to earn $200k with sales commissions.
What you’ll do:
- Lead business development efforts and expand DonorBureau's advocacy brand within the government affairs marketplace
- Meet or exceed established sales targets and performance metrics
- Establish strong relationships with clients, partners, policymakers, and other stakeholders to support sales and advocacy efforts.
- Develop and implement effective advocacy strategies that align with our organization's objectives and amplify our message to key audiences.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including account managers and specialists, to integrate advocacy strategies into broader marketing and communications plans.
- Monitor and analyze policy developments and industry trends to inform advocacy strategies and make necessary adjustments to tactics.
- Report on the progress of advocacy campaigns, assess their impact, and evaluate their effectiveness in achieving desired outcomes.
- Plan and participate in events, meetings, and other activities to promote advocacy objectives and garner community support
- Prepare and review advocacy and fundraising packages for client approval and deployment; Assist in developing advocacy and fundraising package concepts with the account management team.
- Lead the creation of advocacy materials, including briefs, presentations, and digital content, to engage and educate stakeholders and the public.
- Robust experience in sales, with a strong emphasis on business development, fundraising, and government relations
- Excellent negotiation and relationship-building skills
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders
- Expert-level attention to detail with strong attention to accuracy
- Minimum two years of experience in advocacy, public affairs, or policy, with a proven track record of successful campaigns required
- Strong understanding of the political process and experience engaging with policymakers and stakeholders
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and willingness to learn new techniques
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience leading cross-functional projects
- Ability to work independently, managing multiple priorities and deadlines
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Political Science, Communications, Public Affairs, or a related field
- 1-3 years of experience with SMS/MMS campaigns
- Previous experience in digital fundraising
- A network of contacts in government, nonprofit, and business sectors is highly desirable.
- Experience with creating donation pages on systems such as Revv or Anedot
- Previous experience in drafting advocacy and fundraising communications & deploying fundraising campaigns
- Experience with email marketing platforms such as MailChimp & Salesforce Marketing Cloud
