COMMERCIAL WORKING FOREMAN

Donovan Contracting is seeking a Working Foreman. This is a Salaried position with discretionary performance bonuses. Donovan specializes in serving Multi-Unit Property Managers. Position will report directly to the company president.

Work consists of all facets of Multi-Unit Contracting services. We do not do ground-up or new construction. Most work would be considered “remodel” work, and our client base is B2B and Commercial (non-residential).

Compensation package may exceed 100k per year for top performers. Work will be full time Mon. – Fri. 7:00am to 4pm and projects vary in size and scope. This position will be very dynamic and demanding. It will be fast paced, and high energy leadership is expected. 10 plus years of experience in the trades, prior commercial supervisory experience is a must.

Job Requirements:

· Number one job requirement is positive, can-do attitude.

· Ability to lead. Position will require public speaking in large groups. Be able to motivate teams and physically jump in to help. Lead by stepping in and setting the pace.

· 10 plus years of experience in a proven management position in the trade.

· Computer literacy is a must. Be able to type, email, work with Excel and other scheduling / budgeting software.

· Bring projects in on time and on budget, ability to make sound decisions to do so.

· Driven, self-starter, take initiative and be able to complete tasks in a timely manner with little Supervision.

· Valid driver's license required.

· Be able to pass a background check.

· Presentable, clean cut, this is a client facing position and you will be required to conduct yourself in a professional manner.

WHAT IS IT?

You will be overseeing multiple jobs at multiple locations throughout the area. You will “own” the projects. It is your responsibility to set the budget and hit schedule targets. You will be graded on your performance; we keep score and work as a team. Bonuses are awarded for great performance.

DAY IN THE LIFE

Show up before 7am, quick management huddle, then all company / crews huddle for couple minutes to start the day. Give crews assignments. Hit the streets in company truck. Visit multiple jobsites and oversee crews. Make sure clients are being serviced and job is going according to contract. Communicate with Project Coordinator / Purchasing Agent throughout the day with progress updates and material needs. Pick up / deliver materials if as needed to jobsites. Return to office late afternoon, work with Coordinator to set schedule for the following day, report hours, budget review etc. Be at office / yard upon your crews return to see them in and assist them with unloading and cleaning out the truck / trailer. Go home to your spouse and kids, enjoy your evening.
