Pump Truck Driver/Operator - CDL preferred

Job Summary:
The Pump Truck Driver/Operator operates the pump truck on pre-determined routes, controlling the trucks pump or similar equipment to collect waste from portable sanitation units and deposit their contents into the truck.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Operates pump truck on pre-determined route; safely controls the pump as required to collect receptacles and deposit their contents in the truck.
- Performs and documents pre-operation safety check on vehicle prior to embarking on route.
- Refuels truck and performs basic maintenance.
- Facilitates proper maintenance and mechanical service on truck by appropriate mechanics.
- Transports waste to proper location for processing and/or disposal.
- Notifies dispatchers and/or supervisors of delays, unsafe sites, accidents, breakdowns, or other issues and documenting the same.
- Maintains logs of pickup times, daily mileage, and dump logs.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Valid Drivers’ License or similar classification to operate a pump truck required.
