Job Summary:
The quality assurance technician is responsible for creating documents related to Quality Assurance investigations. Including SOPs, work instructions, forms and validation plans from other departments on behalf of Quality Assurance. This also includes developing and implementing processes, procedures, forms and tools to monitor and improve the quality assurance processes.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Be able to create procedures for testing motors gearboxes, controls, wiring harnesses, and other items procured by DCU.
- Failure analysis on items returned under warranty.
- Create warranty reports and conduct weekly meetings.
- Analyze statistical data and perform spot checks based on warranty reports.
- Other duties as assigned
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Mechanical skills, automatic door knowledge preferred.
- Experience with voltmeter, wiring schematics, and an understanding of electrical safety.
- Be able to show good judgement, be a team player, and exhibit leadership skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office products and statistical analysis.
- Experience with MS Power BI, Power Apps, and Power Query preferred.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 3-5 years of Quality Control/Assurance experience, with at least 3 years of supervisory experience preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times
