Are you passionate about history and storytelling? Join the team at Eagle Bluff Lighthouse in Peninsula State Park as a docent, where you will help bring the rich history of the lighthouse and the Duclon family to life for visitors.
Responsibilities:
- Provide a warm and welcoming experience for all visitors.
- Lead engaging and informative tours of the lighthouse.
- Share the history of the lightkeepers and their families.
- Assist in the gift shop, including processing admissions and merchandise sales.
Qualifications & Training:
- No prior experience required—comprehensive training is provided.
- A passion for history and public engagement is highly valued.
Scheduling & Commitment:
- Flexible shifts available from mid-May through October.
- Choose to volunteer as little as one day per week or as often as you'd like.
- Typical shifts run from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
