What are the responsibilities and job description for the Health Information Specialist / HIM - Casual Call position at Door County Medical Center?
The Health Information Specialist works under the supervision of the Director of Compliance & Safety, the HIM Specialist performs medical record clerical functions in support of Organization’s Health Information Management (HIM) operations ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of patient information. HIM operations contribute to the care of the patient as well as supporting the Organization’s quality, risk, and reimbursement goals.
Minimum Education Required: Education in health, business, data processing or other systems/records orientation preferred.
Minimum Related Years of Experience (per minimum education) Required: Background in medical record/office clerical functions and medical terminology preferred.
Shift: Working Casual Call, meaning you as needed.
