Are you looking for an opportunity to utilize your excellent problem-solving skills and superior knowledge of all things involving electricity? Join our team as our Building and Machine Maintenance Specialist and provide services to ensure that all mechanical and electronical systems, wiring and power tool equipment remain functional.

You will be responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes. Your organizational skills will also be required as you ensure that you have sufficient supplies to handle routine maintenance tasks and can quickly get other supplies as needed to reduce downtime.

Job Responsibilities

Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility’s equipment.
Determine the reasons for any malfunctions of systems or components, and create a maintenance or repair plan to solve the problem.
Provide emergency / unscheduled repairs of production equipment prior to and throughout production.
Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities.
Test systems with devices such as voltmeters, oscilloscopes and ohmmeters to ensure the system remains safe and that components are compatible.
Review blueprints to understand the placement of wiring or to comprehend the working of the equipment to provide the right service and repairs.
Provide suggestions on the lifespan of equipment and other electrical components, advising when certain components should be replaced due to potential risks.
Keep records of all maintenance and repair work conducted, including a record of any supplies ordered and used.
Ensure all routine maintenance work is handled on a regular schedule to reduce the risk of larger and more complex issues and to reduce costs.

Requirements : Required :

Technical degree or equivalent in electrical, mechanical, hydraulics and pneumatics maintenance

3-5 years of maintenance and / or maintaining plant / production equipment.

Strong verbal and oral communication skills

Preferred :

Relevant electrician certifications

Proven problem-solving skills

Familiar with the National Electrical Code

Knowledge of OSHA regulations, lock out / tag out procedures

Physical Demands :

While performing daily duties, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear.

This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, and climbing throughout the day.

The employee must frequently lift and / or move items of 50 pounds and occasionally over 75 pounds with assistance.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
