Description :
Warehouse Shipping and Receiving Coordinator will perform an array of functions that may include receiving and processing incoming stock and materials, picking and filling orders from stock, packing and shipping orders, or managing, organizing and retrieving stock in the warehouse.
Essential Functions :
- Perform an array of functions that may include receiving and processing incoming stock and materials.
- Picking and filling orders from stock, packing, shipping orders
- Managing, organizing and retrieving stock in the warehouse
- Working closely with supervisor to complete all tasks in timely manner
- Continuously improve warehouse operations through the use of lean enterprise practices
- Assist shipping and receiving unloading trucks and checking in merchandise
- Establishing or adjusting work procedures to meet warehouse demands as dictated by production schedules and work flow
- Prepares orders by processing requests and supply orders; pulling materials, packing boxes, placing orders in delivery area
- Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves or bins according to organizational standards
- Open crates and other containers
- Maintain inventory controls by collecting stock location orders, recording amounts of materials or items received or distributed through a computer
- Maintain safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area and work stations neat; Sweep
- Organize warehouse and work area for orderliness at all times
- Ensure all shipments receive the proper labeling and postal charges and are packaged to arrive safely
- Prepare any necessary coordination with freight companies and prepare shipping paperwork as needed for each freight company
- Accurately package, label, and weigh items to be shipped and ensure proper shipment method and shipping charges
- Inspect freight upon arrival to ensure all goods are in acceptable condition, document and signs of damage, and resolve freight claims in a timely manner
- Perform quality checks on incoming material as needed
- Assist with pull / pick of small parts and pieces for shipment
- Additional duties as assigned

Work Environment :
This position works in a warehouse and production setting, with some outdoor exposure during the workday. This role routinely uses standard warehouse equipment such as industrial truck, box cutters and tape dispensers and standard office equipment such as computers, scanners and etc.
