POSITION SUMMARY:
Under general professional and administrative guidance and supervision, the Residential Services Assistant provides for the maintenance of the therapeutic milieu, assures the safety and sanitation of the environment, provides for the planning and preparation of a proper nutritious diet for residents.
Coordinates the purchasing of all food and household supplies. Maintains adequate household supplies and food to maintain a safe and sanitary environment and prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks to the residents. Assures that supplies and food purchases comply with designated budgetary allowances. Assures that food and supplies are stored appropriately, expiration dates are clearly labeled, and that all food is free from contamination and spoilage and is fit for consumption.
Education:
Completion of an Associate of Art’s (AA) degree in a human service or related field is preferred; a high school diploma or equivalency is required.
Experience:
a. One (1) to two (2) year’s satisfactory employment history;
b.Experience working with recovery in either a paid or volunteer position is strongly recommended.
