Job Summary
MUST BE THE OWNER OF A CARGO VAN / SPRINTER VAN ( NO SUV'S ALLOWED)
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Driver (Independent Contractor) to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for transporting items from Lowes Stores to customers home. As an independent contractor, you will have the flexibility to manage your own schedule while ensuring timely deliveries and excellent customer service.
Responsibilities
- Operate delivery vehicles in your own Cargo Van / Sprinter Van
- Load and unload items from the vehicle, ensuring proper handling to avoid damage.
- Utilize dolly and straps for securing items in your vehicle
- Follow designated routes on GPS for efficient delivery while adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients and addressing any concerns during the delivery process.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including time of arrival, items delivered, and any issues encountered.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safety and reliability.
Skills
- Proven experience as a driver with a strong understanding of route driving.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required during loading and unloading processes.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills to interact positively with clients and address their needs effectively.
- Experience operating delivery vehicles such as vans or box trucks is a plus.
- Ability to work independently while managing time efficiently to meet delivery deadlines.
