About the Team
It is an exciting time to join our ambitious and growing Income Tax Reporting and Compliance team. The team is responsible for DoorDash’s US, state, and foreign income tax filings and also DoorDash’s global US GAAP income tax provision.
About the Role
The Income Tax Reporting and Compliance team is looking for an Associate Manager on our US income tax reporting team. This role will report to the Senior Manager, Income Tax.
Your primary responsibility will be calculating and reviewing US income tax calculation used for income tax return and quarterly financial statement reporting. You will also support other US income tax reporting matters as needed. You will work closely with Tax, Accounting, and other business teams. You will scale processes for growth, taking them from manual to automated.

- Prepare detailed workpapers that support US income tax calculations for tax return compliance, including calculations used in quarterly financial statement reporting.
- Manage our federal taxable income calculation process with other internal teammates and external consultants.
- Monitor, analyze and consult with outside service providers on tax regulatory developments, tax law changes and other authoritative guidance and document the related tax reporting impact.
- Develop and implement process improvements, utilizing technology where appropriate, for all aspects of the tax calculation process.
- Develop proficient understanding of DoorDash businesses and internal financial systems and tools.
- Assist with ad hoc requests and projects as necessary.
We’re excited about you because…
- You have 4 years of experience in a corporate tax role with responsibilities for income tax compliance, tax provision (ASC 740) and tax audit, with the ideal candidate having Big 4 experience and/or technology industry.
- You are meticulous in preparing and reviewing your work product.
- You are analytical and organized in your approach to project-management and resolving obstacles in your workstreams.
- You have your BA/BS Degree in Accountancy, or a similar field of study.
- You are proficient with MS Excel, tax and accounting research tools, enterprise/general ledger systems, and tax provision applications.
- You roll up your sleeves and do whatever is necessary to drive results, even if it's outside your normal areas of focus.
- You approach your role with a strong moral compass and integrity.
