About the Role
We’re hiring a Localization and Mapping engineer in our autonomy software team. In this role, you’ll work with multiple stakeholders including Product, Engineering (hardware and software), and Operations to develop our localization and mapping system. You’ll be researching, designing and implementing enhancements as a core member of the team.

- Play an integral role on a small and focused team
- Research, develop and implement algorithms for highly accurate localization for an autonomous vehicle
- Design solutions for creating large-scale, accurate 3D maps to improve our robot’s capabilities and behavior.
- Contribute to the architecture of a safe and redundant system
We’re excited about you because…
- Experience in at least one of the following: optimization, robotics, computational geometry
- Experience in at least one of the following: computer vision, lidar data processing, IMU data processing
- In-depth knowledge of data structures and advanced algorithms.
- Strong C experience
- Industry experience designing, implementing and extending algorithms
- MS/PhD degree in Computer Science, Robotics, or related technical field
- Nice to have experience includes:
- Experience with 3D registration techniques, SLAM, odometry, etc.
- Prior experience in the self-driving vehicle space
