- Lead a talented team of policy professionals responsible for representing DoorDash before the White House, Members of Congress, senior staff, federal regulators, and other members of the Executive branch.
- Develop a deep understanding of business priorities and legislative trends to inform our policy agenda at the federal level, and ensure executives and other internal partners are well-informed of developments that may affect our business.
- Set strategy and collaborate with partners across the policy team, including Policy Development and Research, Mobilization, and Paid Media, to drive favorable policy outcomes through direct engagement and advocacy campaigns.
- Partner with industry associations, advocacy groups, and other stakeholders to build coalitions and alliances that amplify our advocacy efforts.
- Manage the U.S. Federal Affairs Team as a committed people leader who invests in the professional growth of team members.
- Manage and approve the budget across Federal Affairs, including political contributions, third-party engagements, consultants, and operations.
We’re excited about you because you have…
- An extraordinary track record managing high-stakes policy issues at the federal level in an in-house role. We are looking for at least 12 years experience in fast-paced corporate public policy environments at the federal level, with at least 7 years experience managing a function critical to business growth.
- An optimistic outlook, even in the face of adversity, and an inclination toward proactive engagement. At DoorDash, we often defy the odds to achieve extraordinary outcomes. It all starts with the ability to dream big and have a plan.
- A collaborative approach to your work. Our team’s success depends on effective collaboration within our team and with business partners. Embracing the unique role of the Federal Affairs team and drawing on the full resources of our broader team is critical to our continued success.
- An operational mindset that enables you to seamlessly manage internal and external processes and stakeholders.
