About The Role
DoorDash is looking for a Senior Associate to join our Retail team. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of building the shopping experience for our quickly growing Retail vertical. In this role you will be responsible for understanding customer shopping behavior, developing merchandising strategies for our store pages, and building visibility for Retail in top-of- funnel pages. You will iteratively test and learn to continuously optimize the site experience for our customer. You will partner with XFN stakeholders and collaborate to translate business priorities into in-app merchandising or product strategies. You are a critical thinker, organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable with ambiguity.

- Build and execute merchandising strategies across key retail categories: home, beauty, occasions, electronics, sporting goods and office
- Manage custom collections and store page merchandising to drive increases in ATC and conversion rate
- Create a “best-in-class” shopping experience for customers through careful analysis of sales data, search trends and seasonal priorities
- Merchandise and maintain product assortment for key categories. Monitor business trends, customer demand, seasonal variations as well as historical performance to determine future opportunities and develop best practices.
- Identify areas of opportunity for our in-app experience by analyzing, understanding and reacting to KPIs
- Develop in-depth knowledge of the customer, anticipating their demands and determining what is “next” by closely following consumer behavior patterns and expectations
We're excited about you because...
- You have 5 years of experience in retail, e-commerce, merchandising or related experience with a track record of leading initiatives and improving processes
- You demonstrate a data-driven approach to problem solving and prioritization
- You have strong cross functional business experience
- You are an experienced project manager, comfortable managing multiple deadlines simultaneously, reporting on progress, and keeping stakeholders informed in a fast-paced environment
- You are comfortable solving ambiguous problems and working with large data sets within Excel / Google sheets; basic SQL skills are preferred
- You’re an excellent verbal and written communicator, able to express a complex idea clearly and simply to internal audiences
