About the Team
Our New Verticals team launched in 2020 with the purpose of delighting our customers and empowering our local economies outside of just restaurants. Since then, we’ve launched Grocery, Convenience, Alcohol, Retail, and our DashMart businesses. This team is focused on incubating new ideas to give DoorDash customers better ways to make purchases on and off the DoorDash app!
About the Role
You will own building our Payments strategy across our platform. You will be responsible for defining, executing, and optimizing growth initiatives for net new consumer financial products. As the first hire on this pod, you will own building this business 0-1 in partnership with internal cross-functional stakeholders. You’ll report into a team lead on New Verticals Strategy & Operations and join as an Individual Contributor with the opportunity to build out and shape your organization over time.

- You can influence our organization. You will partner with teams like Operations, Enterprise Partner Managers, Product, Finance, Engineering and more to create strategic plans and harness opportunities while gaining buy-in from stakeholders and leadership
We’re excited about you because…
- You have 8 years of experience. You’ve succeeded in high-performing cultures (tech, operations, strategy, consulting, banking, or a related experience).
- A major plus if you have experience in fintech or payments industries!
- Also a plus if you have people management experience as you will be hiring and managing a team in the future.
- You have a completed Bachelor’s Degree in business, finance, economics, engineering or related field.
