Overview
I am seeking a compassionate and organized Veterinary Receptionist/ Assistant to join my team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for pet owners and their beloved animals, providing exceptional customer service while managing the front desk operations of my mobile veterinary clinic. Your passion for animal care and strong communication skills will be essential in creating a welcoming environment for both pets and their owners.
Responsibilities
- Greet clients and their pets upon our arrival, ensuring a friendly and professional atmosphere.
- Manage appointment scheduling, confirmations, and reminders to optimize clinic flow.
- Maintain accurate patient records and handle all front desk administrative tasks.
- Assist veterinarian with basic tasks as needed, including medication administration and pet care.
- Provide information on services offered, pet care tips, and answer general inquiries regarding veterinary terminology.
- Ensure the truck is clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies.
- Collaborate with the doctor to support veterinary care procedures when required.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a veterinary clinic or animal care setting is required.
- Familiarity with veterinary terminology and procedures is highly desirable.
- Skills in animal restraint, surgical monitoring, aseptic techniques, and medication administration are required.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A genuine love for animals and commitment to providing high-quality care.
- Ability to lift 45#, restrain dogs up too 100#, moderate standing
