What are the responsibilities and job description for the Resident Advocate position at DOORWAYS?
We are seeking a Resident Advocate who is dedicated to the welfare of our residents. The Resident Advocate is responsible for conducting regular wellness checks, assisting cafeteria staff with meal selections, ensuring the maintenance of a clean and safe environment for residents, and regularly checking on residents' emotional health. Candidates should have excellent communication skills and be comfortable working in an environment where there is often very little privacy or personal space.
Responsibilities:
- Support and assist residents with basic needs.
- Provide advice and assistance on concerns to supervisors, other staff, and other agencies.
- Provide support to those with medical problems.
- Provide assistance with coordination of social service agencies.
- Work with other staff to promote community building among residents.
- Meet with resident committees, family members, social service agencies and other groups during grievances, conduct teambuilding discussions.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 20 per week
