We’re looking for a detail-oriented Warehouse Supervisor to join our Logistics team. This position will lead and coordinate all aspects of receiving, warehouse inventory, and order picking. This role ensures that all materials are received, inspected, and stored in a safe and organized manner, while leading a team to optimize receiving processes and maintain operational efficiency and quality within the department. The supervisor is responsible for leading a team of warehouse personnel, fostering a culture of excellence, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to support operational needs across the organization.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership, training, mentorship, and guidance, to associates focused on receiving goods, material handling, material storage, and order selection for internal and external customers.
- Organize, prioritize, and delegate team tasks while ensuring they are completed according to SOPs and on schedule. May be involved in developing and/or updating SOPs to improve efficiency.
- Supervise and monitor receiving process, including offloading, inspection, verification, and recording of incoming goods.
- Collaborate with procurement and quality teams to address any issues with received products.
- Lead inventory control, including inventory checks, cycle counts, inventory research, and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly.
- Manage order selection / packing activities and ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
- Demonstrate continuous effort to improve day to day processes and streamline workflows.
- Help to maintain high standards of housekeeping and cleanliness in the warehouses and laydown yard.
- Perform other duties as required.
Your Profile
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in Logistics and Inventory
- Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience
- Must have extensive forklift experience, preferably with sit down and narrow isle experience
- Previous experience with IFS or similar ERP system
- Fluent verbal and written communication in English
- Strong communication skills for effectively leading and interacting with team members and coordinating with management
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and react quickly to changing priorities. A sense of urgency is a must
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods of time
- Strong organizational skills, time management, and aptitude to multi-task
