As our Resident Services Coordinator, you’ll be at the heart of our efforts to support residents in DBEDC properties. You'll work closely with individuals and families, connecting them to essential services, fostering community engagement, and helping them maintain stable tenancies. This role will take you to different properties within our service area, where you'll collaborate with property management and local partners to create opportunities that enhance residents’ quality of life.

What you can expect to do in the role

  • Be a trusted resource : Welcome new residents, build relationships, and connect them with services that support their needs and goals.
  • Support housing stability : Help residents access public benefits, navigate challenges, and prevent evictions.
  • Create community connections : Organize resident meetings, lead social programs, and facilitate community-building activities.
  • Work directly with residents : Provide case management support, maintain appropriate records, and ensure services are accessible and effective.
  • Advocate for residents : Mediate conflicts, promote civic engagement, and collaborate with community organizations to expand resources.
  • Adapt and assist as needed : Support residents in any way necessary to help them maintain stable, fulfilling lives, including other duties as assigned.

What we are looking for (Required Qualifications)

  • A deep commitment to working with diverse communities, including low-income families, seniors, and individuals with disabilities.
  • A passion for social justice and racial equity.
  • 3 years of experience in case management, social services, or community engagement.
  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish, Cape Verdean Kriol, or Haitian Kreyol (written and spoken) is required.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to mediate conflicts with empathy and professionalism.
  • The ability to work independently while thriving in a collaborative team environment.
  • Tech-savviness with Microsoft Office or Google Suite.
  • Experience in maintaining accurate and confidential client records through a CRM system (like Salesforce).
  • A collaborative mindset with excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and travel locally as needed.
  • Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Experience in resident engagement and program coordination.
  • Knowledge of affordable housing and community development.
  • Creativity in developing newsletters or marketing campaigns.

  • Salary range : $66,300 - $76,500.
