You will be responsible for oversee and manage The Restaurant and Bar, and maintaining the high standards of our guests. Responsible for achieving its goals and contribute to the guest experience and overall profitability of the hotel whilst maintaining Dorchester Collection Brand standards. to ensure our guests receive nothing but the best experience.

You'll also be responsible the operations and programs of the Restaurant and Bar and ensuring adherence to DC Core Standards and required Health and Food Safety standards. Our Restaurant and Bar General Manager is also responsible for the planning, organization, direction of the operations and supervision of the Restaurant and Bar teams. Enabling the F&B GRC structure, creativity, bespoke recognition and utilization of NEXUS. Continually evaluating organizational structure to ensure the team is deployed based on strengths. Though skillfully trained, they never lose sight of their ultimate reasonability, to create lifelong memories for our guests.

Our Restaurant and Bar General Manager is responsible for overseeing and assisting in the management of all daily operations during their day. This will include cultivating relationships with all our guests, including recognizing all in-house and VIP guests. In addition, they will need to build relationships with all employees as they will be directly managing our Restaurant and Bar team. The Restaurant and Bar General Manager ensures that standards are maintained at a superior level on a daily basis. Our Restaurant and Bar General Manager is responsible for the planning, organization, direction of the operations and supervision of staff. Responsible for interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance and addressing complaints and resolving problems during their day. This will include menu planning and costs, preparation and presentation of food and drinks, and adherence to quality and safety standards. They oversee and assist in coordinating special events. They are capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments during their day all to ensure our guests receives nothing but the best experience. The Restaurant General Manager manages all month end financial requirements such as trial balance, accruals, check book maintenance and P&L variance critiques. They attend all labor and revenue meetings.
