Performance Responsibilities
Building Assignment: This role will be assisting at DCTC and Cambridge-South Dorchester High School
- Assists in upholding and enforcing school rules, administrative procedures and board polices;
- Maintains a classroom environment that is safe, orderly, and conducive to effective learning and appropriate to the maturity and interest of all students;
- Meets and instructs assigned classes as scheduled;
- Follows teacher's lesson plans and daily schedule; may require lesson plan creation and grading;
- Follows procedures and guidelines listed in the Dorchester County Substitute Handbook;
- Completes substitute reports as required.
- Must be 21 years of age;
- Must possess a High School diploma or GED; Associate degree required;
- Must pass a criminal background check;
- Must complete the Safe Schools Training Program;
- Must attend the DCPS Substitute Workshop.
