Description
The purpose of the class is to install, maintain, repair and replace computer hardware, software and peripheral equipment; to provide effective user support; and to perform related technical work as required. The class is given a general outline of work to be performed and is free to develop work methods and sequences; work is reviewed periodically by supervisor. This position is responsible for support at 15 county locations and is required to periodically work at various sites.
Position may close prior to post closing date if sufficient highly qualified applicants are received.
Duties
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Inspects microcomputer equipment and prepares microcomputers for delivery to end users.
- Installs, configures and tests computer hardware, software and peripheral equipment.
- Manages projects related to hardware, software and network design; patches
cabling / installation; and punches down network connectors and hooks to network.

Qualifications
Education and Experience :
Associate degree or equivalent with emphasis in computer science, management information system technology or a closely related field.
Requires at least four (4) years of related experience.
Special Qualifications :
