Dorchester County Council puts aside funds in the annual budget to hire youth ages 16-22 to work in various positions throughout the County Departments for a total of 130 hours. This is a 7-week program. Maximum 20 hours per week.

- Students will:
- Work seven (7) weeks from Monday through Friday from June 16, 2025 – August 1, 2025.
- Work at least 20 hours per week.
- Maximum of 130 hours during the program.
- Be available for assignments.
- Be engaged and actively participate in the program.
- Put forth their best effort regardless of their assigned position.
- Be accountable for retaining training information and instructions.

- Must be at least 16 years old and not older than 22 years of age before June 1st.
- Applicants may only participate in this program for a maximum of 2 years.
- Must be a resident of Dorchester County.
- Be currently enrolled in high school or college (proof of enrollment is required).
- Must be able to attend orientation on June 16, 2025, at 201 Johnston Street, St. George, SC.
- Be a US citizen.
