JOB TITLE: CACE Administrative Assistant
DEPARTMENT: Center for the Advancement of Christian Education (CACE)
REPORTS TO: Director for the Center of Advancement of Christian Education (CACE)
PURPOSE OF POSITION: Enhance the Center’s effectiveness by providing financial processing, information management support, and clerical support to the Director, CACE fellows and Teaching for Transformation (TfT) school designers; and additional CACE work centers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Serve as the financial manager for each of the CACE work centers.
- Create contracts for clients within each of the CACE work centers.
- Provide administrative support for the center director.
- Assist in the planning of CACE work center events.
- Maintain confidential client information.
- Collect and analyze information; prepare and reconcile financial reports.
- Develop and utilize filing and retrieval systems.
- Manage CACE, TfT and additional CACE work center budgets.
- Other duties as assigned
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- A clear understanding and commitment to the Reformed perspective and mission of Dordt University and ability to clearly articulate and communicate the mission effectively.
- Ability to express an active Christian commitment, which shall include identification with a local organized church that holds to beliefs that are consistent with the mission of the university.

- Associate or Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, experience, and training.
- Strong administrative abilities in basic office procedures and usage of technologies including Microsoft Office Suite and QuickBooks.
- Expertise in social media (Facebook, Twitter, Wordpress, Google )
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with multiple entities.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and work well independently or as a part of a team.
