JOB TITLE: Student Accounts Manager
DEPARTMENT: Business Office
REPORTS TO: Controller
PURPOSE OF POSITION:
Working to support and facilitate the equipping of students, alumni, and the broader community to work effectively toward Christ-centered renewal in all aspects of contemporary life. Primarily responsible for overseeing all aspects of student accounts. Responsible for greeting and assisting a variety of individuals (primarily students, as well as parents, faculty and staff on occasion) at the front counter in a pleasant and effective manner.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Responsible for the operation of student accounting processes including receipts, payment plans, electronic data transfers to and from 3rd parties and other departments, ensuring the accuracy of the student accounting database, and compliance with government regulations.
- Provide financial counseling for parents and students regarding payment options and payment plans with authority to negotiate special arrangements. When necessary, resolve problems and questions with students or parents regarding student finances. Contact and initiate the settling of student account balances in escalated or special situations.
- Reconcile student account balances deposits and scholarships.
- Provide backup assistance for institutional loan and accounts payable processes.
- Manage special projects as assigned by the Controller.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Ability to express an active Christian commitment, which shall include identification with a local organized church that holds to beliefs that are consistent with the mission of the university.

- A two-year degree and 2-4 years of office experience is preferred, or an equivalent combination of education, experience, and training.
- Excellent public relations, oral and written communication skills, and the ability to communicate sensitive and/or complex information in a confidential and straightforward manner.
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles is required.
- Computer expertise with Microsoft Office suite.
- Must possess a high level of accuracy and strong attention to detail.
- Must be a creative problem solver, accurate, detail oriented, self-directed, and able to coordinate and manage multiple priorities.
- Must be a team player and be able to work with personnel from various offices.
