JOB TITLE : Subject Matter Expert – Phase Separation
DEPARTMENT : Technology
REPORTS TO : Director of Technology
SUMMARY : As a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Phase Separation for Dorf Ketal Energy Services, you will focus on optimizing oil, gas, and water separation processes, ensuring efficient production and treatment of hydrocarbons. The SME will leverage their expertise in phase separation to provide technical support, troubleshooting, and design solutions for both field operations and R&D initiatives. This position will demonstrate a high level of technical ability, knowledge of the phase separation product line raw materials, ability to design and formulate finished products, production system knowledge and application of phase separation chemistries in water and oil treating for upstream oilfield processes.
Formulation and application knowledge is required for this specific role as SME in Phase Separation with knowledge of other product lines as needed in production chemistry. Superior technical writing ability on technical audits, RFP proposals and recommendations. High level of direct customer contact may be necessary including building and maintaining trusted advisor relationships and working with customers to identify their chemical opportunities to produce oil and gas.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Serve as the company's go-to expert on all matters related to phase separation, including emulsion treatment, demulsifier application, produced water treatment, and crude oil dehydration.
- Conduct site visits to troubleshoot process issues, optimize treatment programs, and implement solutions in collaboration with field personnel and clients.
- Collaborate with management and lab teams to develop new chemical solutions and improve existing formulations for enhanced phase separation efficiency.
- Provide recommendations for system designs, equipment selection, and chemical treatment programs for new and existing production facilities including field technical support looking at field system and fluids making technical recommendations to customers for issues relating to oil and gas production
- Attending customer technical meetings and conducting technical presentations supporting and gaining business.
- Lead training sessions and workshops to enhance the technical knowledge of internal teams and clients regarding phase separation challenges and solutions.
- Lead technology activities pertaining to phase separation in North America including field development of new intermediates and blends as necessary up to and including Product Line Management as necessary.
- Analyze field data to evaluate process performance, identify trends, and generate detailed technical reports to recommend process improvements.
- Partner with cross-functional teams including RDE Centers of Excellence, Technical Services, and Sales to drive product innovations and support business development.
