Engineering and Operations Technologist
Provide product/project support to Design and Process Engineering, Maintenance, and Operations. Creates and documents Key, Cylinder, and Key Machine part and tooling designs with minimal direction.

Provide product/project support to Design and Process Engineering, Maintenance, and Operations. Creates and documents Key, Cylinder, and Key Machine part and tooling designs with minimal direction.

- CAD Engineering Software
- Special Engineering Functions including drafting and reading blueprints.
- Engineering design support
- Engineering project support
- Process Engineering support
- Manufacturing operations tooling support
- PLC support
- Automations support
- Guides/directs CAD Designer(s) as necessary
- Assist design engineers in design, design reviews and analysis
- Perform prototype development and testing
- Assist with PPAP to include PFMEA/FMEA/DFMEA, Control Plans, etc.
- Support new product development process and documentation
- New product introduction
- Create and execute ECN’s and coordinate the transition of new products into the production and operation systems
- Assist with DMR investigation/evaluation
- Assist with evaluating and resolving of all technical-issue RMA’s
- Process new key cost requests
- Contribute to control of Engineering documents and procedures
- Implement and maintain production test procedures
- Evaluate non-conforming production products and contribute to improvements
- Help maintain manufacturing equipment
- Manage sample key request process
- Maintain and coordinate project list for CAD Designers
- Review tool designs and product designs to meet customer requirements and changes
- Assist with research/specifying of materials, tooling, and routings for keys
- Additional assignments as assigned
- Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology, or equivalent experience
- Mechanical aptitude; problem solving and aptitude for continuous improvement
- PC, software, Microsoft Office suite experience.
- Working knowledge of manufactuirng processes and operations
- Lean Manufacturing/5S
- Able to work independently and in a team environment
- Able to communicate (verbal and written) throughout all levels of the operations teams
- Able to gather and interpret data
- Excellent attention to detail
