Are you an experienced nurse seeking an opportunity to work and be part of a forward-thinking team? The Tissue Viability Service would love to hear from you and would welcome any queries to discuss the role further. This role is pan-Dorset post and will require travelling in your own vehicle visiting Patients in varying Healthcare Settings.
As the Tissue Viability Nurse, you will provide effective evidence based comprehensive specialist Tissue Viability advice for Dorset Health Care, plan and co-ordinate meetings as required to discuss findings of specific investigations with all relevant parties to include other professionals and agencies as required. You will actively contribute to the prevention of Pressure Ulcers and management of complex wounds across Dorset Health Care and additional partner organisations. Provide positive, effective communication and evidence-based advice to staff, patients, relatives, and carers.
The Tissue Viability Nurse post is a 12-month secondment or fixed term role to cover maternity. This post is a full time role however a minimum of 30 hours would be considered. For those with current NHS service, the role will be offered on a secondment basis only. Please obtain permission to be released on a secondment before submitting an application. Main duties of the job
To deliver training formally and informally on all aspects of Tissue Viability to all staff groups on topics as : pressure ulcer prevention and management, Tissue Viability, and Negative Pressure Wound Therapy.
To support the Tissue Viability services in delivering evidenced based care.
You will work with a range of internal and external partners in the delivery of a robust Tissue Viability strategy and service across the organisation.
