Responsibilities
- Assist with kitchen staff supervision, ensuring a cohesive and productive team environment.
- Collaborate with team members to prioritize and complete tasks efficiently.
- Coordinate food orders and oversee food preparation and cooking processes.
- Set up and stock stations with necessary supplies and prep items.
- Maintain high-quality food standards, ensuring all dishes meet or exceed expectations.
- Manage portion control, minimize waste, and adhere to established par levels.
- Uphold superior personal hygiene and kitchen sanitation practices.
- Ensure food plating is consistent with established presentation techniques.
- Assist with menu development alongside the Culinary Operations Manager and Kitchen Manager.
- Train kitchen staff on preparation techniques and safety standards.
- Monitor food storage compliance and inventory management.
- Guarantee all meals are cooked and presented to create memorable dining experiences.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a kitchen lead or supervisor preferred.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Commitment to continuous improvement and efficiency.
- Adherence to sanitation procedures and safety regulations.
- Positive and professional attitude with punctuality and focus on tasks.
- Openness to constructive feedback for skill development.
- Effective organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in conflict management and working in fast-paced environments.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Food service management certification.
- Minimum 3 years of cooking experience (preferred).
