Title: Rewind/Shrink Wrap Machine Operator
Location: Ft Worth, TX
Shift Hours: Monday-Wednesday 5am-5pm
Reports to: Production Manager
Position Summary:
The Rewind Shrink Operator is responsible for keeping the rewinders up and running as well as helping package in the shrink wrap department as needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following, but are not limited to:
- Have full knowledge of all phases of label production
- Art capabilities
- Press Capabilities
- Finishing capabilities
- Receives job assignments from Supervisor or Team Lead; reads job specifications and selects correct cores and rewind method for job
- Reviews the job jacket to ensure all finishing, packaging, and shipping specifications are addressed.
- Inspect products to ensure quality integrity and package products
- Observes the flow of material through the machine to detect irregular cutting and winding
- Ensure quality of work to include color, size, die cut, perforations, print, and quantity of packaged items being shipped
- Assist in cutting, collating, wrapping, and packaging converting jobs.
- Perform preventative maintenance on machines
- Remove or replace blades on inspection machines
- Completes paperwork for each job and packages finished goods for shipment to the customer.
- Keeps work areas clean, clear, and organized; maintains housekeeping standards
- Ensure quality checklists are completed and sign off on every job
- Employees work efficiently to meet production standards.
- Recommend process improvement opportunities to management.
- Other duties as assigned.

Experience in flexo printing in general is a plus

Ability to operate shrink-wrap machine and adjust computer controls.
Ability to follow instructions.
Ability to read equipment manual.
Basic math skills.
Must be able to lift 40 pounds at a time.
Prolonged periods of standing.
Extreme attention to detail
Ability to communicate and interact with all levels of employees within the organization.
