Manufacturers Reserve Supply is seeking an experienced part-time Accountant to assist with accounting functions. This position offers 20-24 hours of work per week and is based on-site.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare and submit weekly and monthly reports and assist Accounting Manager in the preparation of monthly / quarterly / yearly closing.
- Reconcile financial reports, including bank statements, general ledger accounts, and other financial records.
- Process expenses using Concur or similar expense management software.
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Monitor accounts receivable and accounts payable, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
- Review and analyze financial data, identifying discrepancies and proposing corrective actions.
- Update and reconcile Fixed Assets and Insurance spreadsheets.
- Prepare quarterly and annual sales and fuel tax returns.
- Preparation of year end 1099s.
- Perform various other duties and special projects as assigned (i.e. UEZ Annual Reporting, submit month solar totals, etc.).
- Review and update standard operating procedures.
- Provide back-up coverage and support for the Accounting Department as needed.
- Ensure communications and actions are in alignment with our mission, vision and culture.
- Manage time effectively, meet personal goals and work effectively with other team members.
- Adhere to all Company policies and procedures.
SKILL REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION
Bachelors Degree in Accounting / Finance.
