Job Description
I. Job Summary | Major goals and objectives.
The Email Producer maintains the integrity of every email campaign through completion of its deployment. This role will be directly responsible for managing the email production team. They will be required to develop and manage action plans and schedules, ensuring that all processes are adhered to and proper expectations and dates are set and met; helping establish, document and enforce QA processes; and constantly facilitating and fostering communication between the email and account teams. They will also keep up with current email trends and provide guidance on best practices as well as training on email when required.
Hybrid 3x a week- Des Moines, Iowa
In-office Expectations: This position is hybrid in-office, with the ability to work remotely for up to 2 days per week.
II. Essential Job Functions
Accountabilities, Actions and Expected Measurable Results
- Serves as the single point of contact for all project initiatives and revisions.
- Responsible for ensuring email production and QA processes are followed correctly and completely and supporting documents are properly kept for all email campaigns.
- Previews jobs for quality assurance prior to account team review.
- Monitors email trends and advises on best practices.
- Creates, maintains and distributes campaign calendars, work assignments and weekly statistics to all internal teams involved in the campaign(s).
- Identifies conflicts, risks, delays or any other situations negatively impacting the campaign then takes proactive and effective steps to resolve these matters and/or obtain deadline extensions when necessary in an effort to limit disruption and keep campaigns on track.
- Participates in key planning and status meetings with the account teams.
- Provides management a report of previous week’s activities (number of campaigns, hours of development, etc.)
- Enhances the workflows and project management process through the identification of opportunities for process improvement, formulation of recommendations, collaboration with key stakeholders, and the execution of initiatives.
III. Minimum Qualifications and Job Requirements | All must be met to be considered.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business or Journalism, or equivalent training and/or experience.
Experience:
- Minimum three years related professional experience.
- Directly related internships may be considered in lieu of professional experience.
- Interactive Marketing and/or Social experience preferred.
Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to organize, schedule and time manage the workflow of several projects simultaneously.
- Ability to think and problem-solve under pressure
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize and re-prioritize with limited direction
- Excellent communication skills, orally and written
- Proficient in Google programs including Gmail, Google Sheets, Google Docs, and Google Slides
- Past experience providing exemplary service to internal or external clients
- Must be able to work on tight deadlines and provide error free products
- Must be self-motivated and the ability to deliver results with limited direction
