The Program Manager, Talent Development is a key member of the HR team responsible for managing talent development initiatives across the organization. Pay Range
Salary: New York: $100,000.00 - $118,000.00
The pay range above represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position and may change in the future. Actual pay may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to work location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Dotdash Meredith’s total compensation package for employees. Other compensation may include annual bonuses, and short- and long-term incentives. Main Duties And Responsibilities Of The Role
- Onboarding and Orientation Program Management:
- Develop content and materials for orientation, and other talent development initiatives.
- Manage the delivery, and continuous improvement of the company’s onboarding and orientation programs to ensure new hires feel welcomed, equipped, and prepared for success.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create engaging onboarding experiences that align with company culture and values.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of onboarding processes through feedback, surveys, and key performance indicators, making adjustments as needed.
- Talent Development Programs:
- Manage, and evaluate talent development initiatives, including leadership development, skills training, mentorship, and career growth programs.
- Partner with HR and business leaders to identify development needs and create tailored solutions that drive employee engagement and performance.
- Lead efforts to build a culture of continuous learning, leveraging digital platforms, workshops, and other learning modalities.
- Program Evaluation and Reporting:
- Develop and track program metrics, providing insights and recommendations for enhancing the effectiveness of talent development initiatives.
- Prepare reports and presentations for leadership, showcasing the impact of programs on employee engagement, performance, and retention.
- Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Partner with HR Business Partners, and other internal stakeholders to align talent development programs with business goals.
- Serve as a point of contact for employees and managers, providing guidance and support on development opportunities and resources.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Stay current on industry best practices and trends in talent development, incorporating innovative approaches into program design and delivery.
- Foster a feedback-rich environment, actively seeking input from participants and stakeholders to refine and enhance program offerings.
Experience
- 5 years of experience in talent development, learning and development, or HR program management, with a proven track record of managing onboarding and orientation programs.
- Experience in designing and implementing talent development programs that drive employee engagement and organizational success.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, with excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Program Management: Strong ability to plan, execute, and manage talent development programs from start to finish.
- Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present ideas clearly and persuasively to diverse audiences.
- Analytical Skills: Proficient in using data to assess program effectiveness and make informed decisions; strong problem-solving skills.
- Learning Design: Knowledge of adult learning principles and experience in creating engaging, effective learning experiences.
- Adaptability: Comfortable navigating change and ambiguity, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS), onboarding platforms, and virtual training tools.
