Seeking a talented Social Media Video Producer to join our highly collaborative video team. Our ideal candidate has a background in social media and food production.
We are looking for a candidate with a proven ability to work with multiple stakeholders to create content that resonates with a national audience. The ideal candidate is a strong storyteller, who has a passion for the creative process and the ability to execute projects successfully and efficiently from start to finish.
This candidate should have superior knowledge of food content in the social space in the multi-platform media landscape and know how to produce social videos.
Assignment Details:
40 hours per week
Start date: Apr 1, 2025
End date (with potential for extension): Jun 30, 2025
Hourly Rate: $30
Location: Birmingham DDM Office
Assignment Responsibilities:
- We are seeking a Freelance Producer/Director for a weekly YouTube cooking show.
- Oversee the production of two episodes per week, typically filmed on the same day, though some shoots may extend across two days.
- Ensure timely publishing of two weekly episodes on YouTube, along with social media cutdowns.
- Collaborate on ideation and development, dedicating at least one day per week to creative planning.
- Lead 1-2 days of production per week.
- Manage post-production and approval processes, spending 1-2 days ensuring episodes are finalized and ready for release.
- This is an in-office position for at least three days per week in Birmingham, Alabama, including pre-production, filming, and post-production tasks.
Skills/Experience:
- 2 years of experience in social video, food media, and YouTube video.
- Knowledge of lifestyle media with an interest in Food. Knowledge of culinary language and video food styling.
- All aspects of YouTube, including insights, trends, publishing, editing, and creating video content
