Adjuster
Overview: Sets up, adjusts, and repairs production machines.
Ensures machines are running correctly and efficiently; ensures the product meets job requirements.
Checks all machine guards and safety mechanisms are in place and are effective.
Inspects for quality during all phases of production.
Tasks: Collaborates closely with the production team to achieve production and quality objectives.
Follows pre-make-ready procedures to ensure plate accuracy and that the job ticket matches the original samples.
Sets up multiple machines for operation, including attaching or adjusting rollers and attachments.
Aligns chains, adhesives, inks, paper, and dyes.
Reviews job tickets to ensure the accuracy of ink matches; sets machine speeds for each job.
Makes necessary adjustments, inspects envelopes and machine speed, and minimizes downtime.
Assists Machine Operator in maintaining quality control and production requirements.
Keeps daily maintenance records and ensures factory machine settings are maintained.
Maintains and repairs machines, including disassembly and re-assembly, lubrication, cleaning, inspection, preventative maintenance, and detection of damage.
Physical Demands
Adjusters may be required to lift to 50 pounds to shoulder height.
Good visual acuity, color discrimination, manual dexterity, and coordination are required.
Ability to use hand tools and work with inks, chemicals, solvents, and adhesives.

The facility is brand new.

Qualifications

Able to read and understand manufacturing work order instructions

Mathematical skills: converting measurements between standard and metric fractions.
