Gate Guard

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Guard to join our company. This role is essential in maintaining a safe and secure environment for our company and employees. The ideal candidate will possess strong observational skills, a commitment to loss prevention, and the ability to respond effectively in emergency situations. The ideal candidate will also be responsible for checking in trucks for deliveries and coordinating with our Shipping and Receiving Department and verifying all guests.

Duties

• Hourly walk throughs in the parking lot to clean up any trash and monitor parking lot.
• Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas to ensure safety and security protocols are followed.
• Respond promptly to alarms and incidents, assessing situations and taking appropriate action.
• Manage conflicts with professionalism, utilizing conflict management techniques to de-escalate situations.
• Collaborate with law enforcement when required, providing necessary information and support during investigations.
• Maintain accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and observations for reporting purposes.
• Checking in deliveries with our shipping department.
• Verifying all guests.
• Monitoring turnstiles to ensure all employees are current employees and have employee ID's to obtain access to the premises.

Qualifications

• Previous is preferred but not mandatory.
• Strong conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Must have past security guard experience.
• Excellent observational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

We have two open positions available! Shift hours: 4am -12:30pm and 11am to 7:30pm.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $13.00 - $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
