Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Manufacturing and Assembly Technician to join our team at Double Tuff Truck Tarps. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting in the fabricating and assembling of tarp systems and related components for tractor trailers and dump trucks. Your focus will be on ensuring our products are built to the highest standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Assembly & Fabrication: Assemble tarp systems and components according to technical drawings, specifications, and written instructions.
- Quality Control: Inspect parts and completed assemblies to verify adherence to quality standards and design specifications.
- Equipment Operation: Operate machinery, tools, and equipment (e.g., drills, tape measures, and impact wrenches) to complete assigned tasks efficiently and safely.
- Inventory Management: Monitor material usage, track inventory levels, and communicate any shortages or discrepancies to management.
- Process Improvement: Identify and suggest opportunities to streamline assembly processes and enhance productivity.
- Safety Compliance: Maintain a clean and organized work area, following all safety guidelines, protocols, and regulations.
Qualifications
- Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in manufacturing, assembly, or related field is strongly preferred.
- Technical Skills:
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical drawings.
- Familiarity with basic hand tools, power tools, and industrial machinery.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting capabilities.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaborate within a team.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift items up to [insert weight limit, e.g., 50 lbs].
