What are the responsibilities and job description for the Customer Service and Order Support Team Member position at Double U Hunting Supply?
We are a small team who supports a national hunting brand for people which hunt with their dogs. Double U Hunting Supply has built a reputation of providing excellent and quick service and products to our customers, we are looking to add a few good team members with attitudes geared towards learning and helping.
We are not your typical big business, yes, we have our guidelines and high expectations, but we do it without all the red tape and corporate BS, just old-fashioned Customer service connecting and working with good rural country customers. We have worked hard to keep our customers happy and loyal; most are returning customers. Most of the time it is easy, but occasionally it takes some empathy and listening skills to connect and understand their problems, before providing a solution.
If you have a good attitude and are willing to listen and learn, we can help train you and share our processes and troubleshooting skills. First and foremost, we are looking for someone that can show up with a good helpful attitude ready and open to learn, and someone driven to learn new skills, engage and connect with our customers.
Our Team works together to accomplish the tasks at hand. Our Customers expect that we try, and ship out orders the same day or within 1 day, so filling customer orders, and answering phones take priority throughout the day, however we still try to make sure we have plenty of time to work and learn different skills.
IDEAL CANDIDATE:
- We need someone reliable, if you don’t show up it’s probably not going to work out good for either of us.
- Good attitude is a must, we can help teach how to interact with Customers if you have a good attitude.

We have a ton of loyal and great Customers who deserve our best efforts, those are the reasons we are successful, and the ones we try to focus on. Occasionally we get people who try and take advantage of our generosity and efforts, those are not people we focus our efforts on.
- Adaptable, are you comfortable adjusting to changing circumstances? Good communication helps a ton with this. We are small, and there are a lot of benefits to a small company, but sometimes it can have its own challenges.
- Excellent interpersonal communication while interacting with Customers and other staff members. (If you have a good attitude this makes life good, we can give you some tricks and tips if you have the right attitude)
- We love people that can learn and figure out small problems on their own. A lot of times it’s as simple as google that helps us, when you hit the big problems, we can help find the answer together.
- We are an internet-based company, which means most of our customers are not in this state, if you don’t know how to work on a computer you are going to struggle. We need someone that demonstrates competency in the use of a computer as well as excellent phone skills.
- Can you work both independently and as a team?
- Can you lift 40 lbs. on occasion?
- Organizational skills are helpful.
- If you have any experience with GPS handheld devices again that is a plus, if not you will have plenty after working here for a couple months!
- If you have knowledge of Adobe Illustrator or other graphic programs that is definitely a plus as we do a lot of graphics for the website, social media, apparel designs, etc.
- Travel is not required but there are some opportunities to travel with this job.
MAIN JOB DUTIES: To provide excellent Customer service to our customers.
- Order Fulfillment: pulling products, packaging, and shipping orders.
- Phone/Email communications with all aspects of Customer service.
- Answering the phone, taking messages, taking orders from customers.
- Trouble Shooting with Customer product issues (Will be trained)
- Creating service work orders or Returns/Repair.
- Folding apparel and other miscellaneous tasks.
- Breaking down boxes, cleaning up our work area, restocking inventory, etc.
FULL-TIME EMPLOYMENT NEEDED:
- Age 17
- Hours are 7:30AM-4:00PM M-F
- Paid Vacation available after 90 days.
- Personal Time Off Accrued ~ @ 2 hours per Pay Period for full time.
- Health Insurance options are available after 90 days.
