Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Technical Support Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a background in IT support, with a strong preference for experience in mainstream cybersecurity solutions. This role involves hands-on responsibility for customer implementations, Office 365 and Google Workspace administration, front-line service desk support, system monitoring, and initial remediation triage.
Key Responsibilities:
New Customer Implementations:
- Assist with onboarding new clients and configuring systems to meet cybersecurity best practices.
- Implement and support Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace solutions.
Office 365 & Google Workspace Administration:
- Manage user accounts, security groups, and permissions in both platforms.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Office 365 and Google Workspace environments.
- Assist clients with migrations between platforms when necessary.
Service Desk Support:
- Provide technical support to clients, ensuring timely and effective issue resolution.
- Escalate complex issues to senior technicians or vendors when necessary.
System Monitoring:
- Monitor system alerts and logs for signs of cybersecurity threats or irregularities.
- Initiate triage and remediation processes for identified issues.
Cybersecurity Support:
- Assist clients with the configuration and maintenance of mainstream cybersecurity solutions.
- Educate clients on best practices for securing their systems.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in IT support or technical roles (2 years preferred).
- Familiarity with mainstream cybersecurity solutions and their deployment (e.g., firewalls, endpoint protection, email security).
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace administration and support.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interface with clients.
- Certifications like CompTIA Security , Microsoft 365 Fundamentals, or Google Workspace Administrator certification are a plus.
