We are looking for a dynamic and customer-focused Restaurant Manager to join the team at DoubleTree. The Restaurant Manager will oversee the daily operations of the hotel’s dining facility, ensuring a high standard of food and service quality. This role requires strong leadership, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to create a memorable dining experience for guests. The Restaurant Manager will be responsible for supervising staff, managing inventory, handling customer service issues, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
What You'll Do
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the hotel’s restaurant, ensuring excellent service and food quality.
- Supervise, train, and manage restaurant staff, including servers, chefs, and kitchen staff.
- Develop and implement training programs to ensure staff are knowledgeable and adhere to restaurant policies and procedures.
- Maintain a positive guest experience by addressing customer complaints or concerns in a professional and timely manner.
- Collaborate with the Executive Chef to create seasonal menus, manage food costs, and ensure the restaurant is aligned with the hotel’s brand and quality standards.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including sanitation and food safety guidelines.
- Monitor inventory and place orders for food, beverages, and restaurant supplies, ensuring that stock levels are maintained.
- Manage budgeting and financial aspects of the restaurant, including controlling costs, managing payroll, and meeting revenue goals.
- Handle reservations, special events, and private dining requests to accommodate guest needs.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide ongoing feedback to staff.
- Create and maintain an inviting, professional, and friendly atmosphere for guests and staff.
- Work closely with the hotel management team to ensure seamless communication between the restaurant and other hotel departments.
- Analyze guest feedback and use insights to continuously improve the restaurant’s offerings and services.
What You Bring
- Proven experience as a Restaurant Manager or in a similar management role in a hotel or upscale dining environment.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
- In-depth knowledge of food and beverage operations, including menu planning, inventory management, and budgeting.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while maintaining a positive and professional demeanor.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle guest complaints effectively.
- Familiarity with health and safety standards and regulations in the hospitality industry.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- A degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
- Proficiency in restaurant management software and POS systems.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
