POSITION SUMMARY
The Laundry Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the laundry department, ensuring that all linen, uniforms, and guest items are laundered to the highest quality standards. This role includes maintaining laundry equipment, training staff, managing inventory, and ensuring compliance with safety and hygiene standards while upholding 6PM Hospitality’s core values and Hilton brand standards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervision and Operations
Oversee the operation of the laundry department during assigned shifts.
Assign tasks and supervise laundry team members to ensure efficiency and quality.
Inspect and evaluate laundry processes and finished products to maintain quality standards.
Ensure compliance with all Hilton brand and company standards.
Guest Services
Assist guests with urgent laundry requests in a prompt and courteous manner.
Ensure proper handling and care of guest laundry items to prevent damage.
Maintain accurate records of guest laundry services and ensure correct billing.
Equipment and Maintenance
Ensure the proper operation and maintenance of all laundry equipment.
Report malfunctioning equipment or maintenance issues to the appropriate department.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area, including regular machine cleaning and lint removal.
Inventory and Supplies
Monitor and manage inventory of laundry chemicals, linen, and supplies.
Ensure that chemicals and cleaning agents are used properly to maintain quality and safety.
Notify management when supplies need to be reordered.
Training and Team Development
Train and mentor laundry team members in standard operating procedures and safety regulations.
Conduct regular meetings to discuss productivity, safety, and improvement strategies.
Establish and maintain records for production standards and training effectiveness.
Compliance and Safety
Adhere to hotel safety and emergency procedures, ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations.
Enforce compliance with Hilton’s Code of Business Conduct and 6PM Hospitality policies.
Identify potential hazards and take corrective action to ensure a safe work environment.
Other Responsibilities
Assist housekeeping team with linen distribution and deep cleaning tasks as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum 1 year of experience in a laundry or housekeeping supervisory role preferred.
Previous experience in a hotel or hospitality setting is an advantage.
Skills & Competencies:
Strong organizational and leadership skills.
Ability to train and motivate team members effectively.
Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to multitask and adapt to changing business needs.
Knowledge of laundry chemicals, equipment, and industry best practices.
