Responsibilities and Duties
Responsibilities:
Front Desk Supervisor will be in charge of the overall operation of the hotel and will be key in ensuring a positive guest experience. This associate will be trained on the Hilton Brand standards and will be trained on computer access to the Hilton system. We will train the supervisor to build confidence as a leader and develop goals to drive service and production at the hotel. Applicant will learn the front desk computer system as well as the Hilton Lobby applications and functions. The Front Desk Supervisor will be involved with training new associates and assist in continuing a positive atmosphere at the hotel.
- Provide information about our hotel, available rooms, rates and amenities.
- Respond to guest service issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Upsell additional facilities and services, when appropriate.
- Assist in hiring and training new front desk agents.
- Communicating throughout the shift with all departments.
- Problem-solving issues on property.
- Ordering and inventorying giftshop product.
- Creating schedules for the Front Desk.
- Entering rooming lists for the Sales department.
- Gift shop
- Digital Key Management and supply ordering
- Cross-Training in Front Office Manager duties when the FOM is away.
- Response to 3rd party sites with questions and billing inquires.
Qualifications & Skills
Must have a flexible schedule to accommodate the team and occupancy levels. Must be able to pay special attention to details, in addition to strong communication skills. Must have interpersonal skills as the Supervisor will be in communication with various departments as well as telephone agents and guests. Problem solving will be keys in noting the resolution to various hurdles that occur during the week and year.
- Experience with hotel reservations software, like OnQ, Saflok, Word applications
- Understanding of how travel planning websites operate, like Booking and TripAdvisor
- Customer service attitude
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Must be able to problem solve and communicate well with all departments.
