We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Laundry Attendant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all linens, and other laundry items are cleaned, folded, treated, and presented to the highest standards. This role is essential in maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of our facilities, contributing to an exceptional guest experience.
Responsibilities
- Operate washing machines and dryers efficiently to launder linens and garments.
- Sort, wash, dry, fold, and store laundry items according to established procedures.
- Inspect items for stains or damage before laundering and report any issues to management.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area, ensuring all equipment is in good working order.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while using cleaning chemicals and operating machinery.
- Assist with inventory management of laundry supplies and report any shortages to management.
- Provide excellent service by responding promptly to requests from hotel staff or guests regarding laundry needs.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a hotel or similar environment is preferred but not required.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Must be able to lift heavy loads and stand for extended periods during shifts.
