Bistro 79 is located in the DoubleTree by Hilton Minneapolis Airport in Bloomington, MN. We are one of the largest Hotels in the state with 472 rooms. During the week our hotel is occupied primarily by business travelers who has an expectation for a very high level of satisfaction. During the weekend, our hotel changes hats and fills with guests in town for leisure, sporting events, competitions and travelers with the same level of expectations.
As a supervisor, you will be responsible during a shift for all F&B Outlets within a large hotel including: Coffee bar/Lobby Bar, Concierge Lounge, Room Service and Bistro 79 (main restaurant and lounge). You will be engaging (not just saying hello) the guests with a bright smile and welcoming attitude with an expressed desire to ensure our guest’s satisfaction with our products and service. You will need to learn, teach and coach our product and service standards in all outlets of Food and Beverage. You must have the ability to jump in and assist where needed, or find someone on staff who can. You must have a passion for service, you must be guest driven; providing first-rate guest service and satisfaction, must possess a working knowledge of food, wine, and beer. We expect you to effectively communicate with all other employees, managers, supervisors, peers, and subordinates with both written and verbal skills. We hope to develop your ability to analyze operational problems, and develop the objective of the department.
The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of Food and Beverage Service as a supervisor and/or Banquet Captain, be available nights and weekends and some early mornings too, be flexible, and be willing to learn. Must have high standards for service, be energetic and want to be part of and be instrumental in leading a successful team. Must possess strong training skills!
