Position Overview:
As a Restaurant Supervisor, you will be an integral part of the leadership team, overseeing daily operations to ensure exceptional guest experiences. This is a unique opportunity to help shape the success of a brand-new restaurant inside a hotel, offering high standards of service in a hospitality-driven environment. You’ll play a key role in both maintaining restaurant excellence and collaborating with hotel staff to provide seamless service to our guests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the restaurant, ensuring smooth service and exceptional food quality.
- Supervise and train front-of-house staff (servers, hosts, bartenders) to ensure high standards of service, professionalism, and Mediterranean cuisine knowledge.
- Ensure every guest is greeted warmly, their needs are met promptly, and any issues are resolved efficiently.
- Collaborate with the kitchen staff to ensure food quality, presentation, and service meet Mediterranean standards.
- Manage restaurant inventory, ensuring the stock of high-quality ingredients (olive oil, feta, seafood, fresh herbs, etc.) is maintained.
- Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming environment for all guests.
- Manage reservations and handle customer inquiries, accommodating special requests and providing excellent customer service.
- Train new employees on restaurant policies, procedures, and health & safety standards.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, food handling practices, and alcohol laws.
- Work closely with hotel management and other departments to ensure seamless communication and provide the best service for hotel guests.
- Handle cash management, opening/closing duties, and daily financial reports.
- Assist the management team in creating new menu items, organizing events, and implementing promotions to enhance guest experiences.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 years of supervisory or leadership experience.
- Prior experience in different FOH roles (such as server, bartender, host) to ensure a comprehensive understanding of the entire service process.
- Passion for Mediterranean cuisine and an understanding of the culinary traditions of the region.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team to provide excellent service.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to handle guest concerns with professionalism and care.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced hotel environment.
- Knowledge of restaurant management software and POS systems is a plus.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Previous experience in a hotel restaurant setting is a plus.
