Our hotel features state-of-the-art event spaces, modern accommodations, and an elevated dining experience. We are seeking a passionate and creative Executive Chef to lead our culinary team and bring our vision of exceptional dining to life.
Job Summary
As the Executive Chef, you will oversee all culinary operations at the DoubleTree Poughkeepsie, including restaurant dining, catering, and banquets. You will have the opportunity to craft memorable menus, lead and develop a talented team, and maintain the highest standards of food quality and service.
Key Responsibilities
- Menu Development : Create and innovate seasonal menus that showcase fresh, local ingredients and align with the hotel’s elevated culinary vision.
- Team Leadership : Recruit, train, mentor, and inspire a high-performing culinary team. Foster a positive and collaborative kitchen culture.
- Operational Excellence : Oversee all kitchen operations, including food preparation, presentation, portion control, and sanitation. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Cost Management : Monitor food costs, labor, and inventory to maximize profitability while maintaining quality.
- Event Catering : Collaborate with the events team to create exceptional menus and experiences for weddings, conferences, and other special occasions.
- Guest Experience : Ensure every dish served meets the highest standards, delivering exceptional dining experiences that exceed guest expectations.

The base pay range represents the low and high end of the pay range. Actual salaries will vary depending on many factors such as skills, experience, certifications, and performance to name a few. The rate listed is just one component of the total compensation package for associates.
