Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Food and Beverage Supervisor to oversee the operations of our food and beverage department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in coffee, inventory control, and team management. As the Food and Beverage Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring exceptional customer service, maintaining high-quality food and beverage offerings, and managing a team of dedicated staff members.
Duties:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the food and beverage department
- Manage inventory control, including ordering and receiving supplies
- Develop and implement strategies to maximize sales and profitability
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Train and supervise staff members in food handling, customer service, and restaurant procedures
- Monitor the quality of food and beverage offerings to ensure consistency and customer satisfaction
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and special requests in a professional manner
- Collaborate with other departments to coordinate events and promotions
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in all areas of the food and beverage department
- Open availability.
- Supervise, support, schedule, assign daily side work, inform and train team members in all restaurant activities and operations.
- Monitor, observe and assist in evaluating team member performance and report to Director.
- Manage all call outs and report as needed for any unfilled line level positions.
- Support and assist team members in handling guest inquiries and requests in resolving guest complaints.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, sanitation and alcohol awareness standards.
- Manage and monitor product quality, service and satisfaction trends, evaluate and address issues and make improvements accordingly.
- Assist in monitoring inventory and inventory control if necessary.
- Ensures, bartenders are using jiggers & following all policy & procedures.
- Conduct daily AM and PM pre-shift huddles in front of host stand.
- Inspect all checklists are complete to ensure Hilton Standards are being met.
- Ensure all restaurant employees take their required breaks.
- Ensure all restaurant employees are in proper uniform.
- Schedules RTO, and RVP training sessions with new hires.
- Conduct yearly retraining sessions.
- Trains all front of house new hires.
- Handle all task accordingly set forth by the Food and beverage Director.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant management is required
- Strong knowledge of coffee preparation techniques is preferred
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on creating a positive dining experience
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of inventory control procedures and experience managing budgets
- Ability to handle difficult situations with professionalism and diplomacy
