We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide support and assistance to individuals in need of personal care. Duties
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the well-being of clients.
- Engage clients in recreational activities, including games, sports, and arts and crafts.
- Support educational activities that promote learning and development.
- Monitor clients’ health and report any changes to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients.
- Collaborate with family members and other caregivers to ensure comprehensive care.
Skills
- Experience in babysitting or working with children in settings such as daycare or camps is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of special education practices and childhood development principles is a plus.
- Ability to coach sports or engage children in physical activities effectively.
- Familiarity with first aid procedures to ensure client safety.
- Strong communication skills for educating clients and their families about care plans.
- Creative skills related to theater or arts that can be used to engage clients in enjoyable activities.
