Job Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Camp Counselors to join our team for the upcoming camp season. As a Camp Counselor, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, fun, and engaging environment for children. You will be responsible for leading activities, providing guidance, and ensuring the well-being of campers while fostering their personal growth and development.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and engage with campers in various activities including arts and crafts, sports, and outdoor adventures.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all campers at all times.
- Plan and implement age-appropriate programs that promote teamwork, creativity, and personal development.
- Provide support in behavior management and conflict resolution among campers.
- Communicate effectively with campers, parents, and fellow staff members to create a positive camp experience.
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of camp facilities.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance skills related to childhood development and first aid.
Experience
Ideal candidates will possess some or all of the following skills:
- Experience in daycare or early childhood education settings.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles.
- Skills in classroom management or tutoring.
- Certification in first aid or CPR is a plus.
- Previous experience working with students or children in a camp or educational environment.
- Familiarity with behavior management techniques.
- Babysitting experience is beneficial but not required.
