Job Purpose: Responsible for completing preventative maintenance tasks throughout the hotel.
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform preventive maintenance in guestrooms, following task checklists provided by the property.
- Perform preventive maintenance on building equipment. Including but not limited to guestrooms, corridors, meeting space, restrooms, public space and building exterior.
- Perform routine painting of building interior including guest rooms, hallways, offices, meeting space etc.
- Perform routine maintenance on HVAC equipment. Clean coils, replace drive belts and air filters.
- Perform routine maintenance on kitchen equipment, refrigerators, ovens, fryers and ice machines.
- Perform routine maintenance on commercial laundry equipment.
- Respond to guest calls and work orders.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Skills:
- Strong ability to paint, wallpaper and make cosmetic repairs. Must have skills in wood working, doors, lock, light fixtures, hardware, flooring and ceilings.
- Fundamental understanding and ability to work with electrical devices such as outlets and switches
- Fundamental understanding and ability to work on plumbing fixtures, toilets, showers and piping.
- Fundamental understanding of building systems. HVAC and life safety equipment.
- Ability to use basic hand and power tools properly and safely.

Requirements:Job Qualifications:
Education: HS Diploma or equivalent, schooling in a trade school is helpful
Experience: At least 2 years of previous preventative maintenance experience preferred.
Licenses/Certifications: Electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry certification or license is helpful
Physical Requirements and working conditions:
Ability to speak and hear. Close and distance vision. Frequently lifts/carries over 50 lbs. Continual use of manual dexterity and gross motor skills with frequent use of bi-manual dexterity and fine motor skills.
